The West Virginia Court Reporters Association strives to

* educate the public regarding the competency, importance, and value of the court reporter;

* promote the understanding of a qualified court reporter as indispensable to judicial systems;

* encourage, establish, and maintain high standards of professional education, competence and performance;

* further the exchange of professional knowledge;

* conduct educational seminars and conferences;

* advance the interests and general welfare of the court reporting profession;

* promote professional ethics;

* encourage adequate training and educational facilities and court reporting programs
